Ceilidhs – The Cedervall Twostep
Jonas on the digital piano, together with his wife Aileen on the accordion, forms the ceilidh band The Cedervall Twostep. Using midi drums and bass, they provide an excellent sound, together with the affordable price of a 2-piece ceilidh band! Great for weddings, birthday parties, social functions, fundraising ceilidhs etc, and also ideal if a mixture of dance styles is required...foxtrots, quicksteps, and tangos are no problem!
Brought up near Perth, Aileen has played the accordion from the age of 6 and has been the North and Central Scotland Advanced Accordion Champion on 3 occasions. Over the years she has played at ceilidhs and dances large and small, and at venues both prestigious and more simple all over Scotland. Now based in Glasgow, but covering all of Scotland and the North of England, the Cedervall Two-Step is a duo of two excellent and experienced musicians who you can rely on to make your ceilidh a success.
Aileen is an experienced dance "caller" and will guide you through all the Scottish ceilidh dances.

Listening to the following samples, you may find it hard to believe that this is a 2-piece ceilidh band! The Cedervall Twostep play and can “call” all of the popular ceilidh dances. They adapt the mixture of dances to the event. For example at a student ceilidh they would play more faster set dances to make it a lively night, whereas at a wedding they normally have a more balanced mix of fast and slow dances to allow everyone to join in.
